Following the Nsanje District flood figures as send to me by January Mvule, the executive Director of Sustainable Rural Community Development Organisation in Nsanje, Malawi, on the 17th of January 2015.

Update: These are the preliminary figures from Wednesday January 14th. Up to date figures are still being compiled as more reports come in. Hopefully there will be an accurate count early this week.

A  T/A (Traditional Authority) is a region that exists of several GVH's (Group Village Head's). A GVH is a group of villages under the authority of a Group Village Head.

*  Rescueteam's are  failing to make the assessment  on the actual number of the households affected as the whole    area is submerged in water, which means all the households are affected
**1 woman injured referred to Ngabu health Centre in Chikwawa.

This is all the information January gave me so far. Liz said these figures are preliminary from Wednesday. Up to date figures are still being compiled as more reports come in. Hopefully they'll have an accurate count early this week.
